The Vaucluse is a very fertile area and offers some of the best and freshest fruit and vegetables in the whole of France. The French appreciate eating local produce according to seasonal availability. Whatever the season, they know that the best produce can be found at local markets. Our area is renowned for a number of seasonal products including strawberries, asparagus, cherries, melons, figs, apricots, grapes, garlic, truffles, and olives.

It is possible to visit a different local market every day of the week, as the following list shows:

  • Sunday :           Avignon, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Sarrians
